Design

The design of the Bubbles rug is defined by its organic, pebble-like surface that creates a gentle, rhythmic pattern. The cream white hue enhances the natural look of the wool, allowing the texture to take centre stage without overwhelming your existing decor.

This minimalistic approach to design makes it an incredibly versatile choice for various rooms. The subtle play of light and shadow across the raised, rounded elements adds depth and interest to the floor, providing a sophisticated yet understated foundation for your interior.

This rug is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India, a process that requires both time and precision. By working the wool by hand, our weavers ensure that every pebble-like detail is perfectly placed, resulting in a consistent and luxurious texture that machine-made alternatives simply cannot replicate.

The creation of such a rug is a labour-intensive endeavour that can take several weeks of dedicated work to complete. Each stage of the process, from the preparation of the cotton foundation to the careful weaving of the wool, involves human effort and expertise passed down through generations of craftspeople.

By choosing a hand-woven piece, you are investing in a product that carries the unique character and soul of its maker. This level of craftsmanship ensures a high degree of durability and a distinctive look, making it a standout addition to your home that celebrates the beauty of traditional textile arts.

Maintenance

Shedding is a natural characteristic of wool and table-tufted cotton. You may notice loose fibres during the first few months as they work their way out of the pile. The shedding gradually reduces over time, although some may continue throughout the rug's lifetime, and it doesn't affect the rug's quality or durability. Hoover regularly with gentle suction and without a rotating brush to remove loose fibres
This rug is handmade with a looped pile, which makes it more prone to snagging. Hoover carefully and keep it away from sharp objects, as these can pull the loops out of place and cause uneven wear.
To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Rug suitable for use with underfloor heating (max. 27°C).
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
