Fragments - GreenHandmadeWool rug
250 x 350 cm

Fragments - Nature's Soft Footprint

Bring a grounding element indoors with this soft green pile rug featuring subtle abstract shapes and natural texture.

Crafted with a blend where wool is the dominant material, this hand-tufted rug offers an exceptionally soft surface underfoot. The dense pile provides warmth and comfort to your everyday spaces, creating a welcoming layer on any floor.
The soft texture invites you to step onto a gentle surface that brings quiet comfort to living rooms and bedrooms. Its rich feel underfoot makes it a considered addition to areas where you spend time relaxing.
Designed to work seamlessly with underfloor heating, the rug lets warmth pass through efficiently while maintaining its structural shape over time. This makes it a practical choice for modern home environments throughout the seasons.
Made by skilled craftspeople in India, the rug reflects regional expertise in textile making, delivering a reliable foundation for your interior setting.

Design

The visual design features a rich green base layered with irregular, vertically oriented patches in soft brown and beige tones. These organic shapes evoke natural textures similar to stone or tree bark, creating an understated abstract composition across the surface. cleanly finished edges give the piece a crisp, contemporary perimeter without fringes.
The muted green palette works alongside earth-toned accents to bring a calm, balanced atmosphere to the room. The subtle contrast between the background and the abstract shapes adds visual interest without overwhelming surrounding furniture.
Hand-tufted by experienced artisans in India, this piece is crafted using a specialized hand tool that shoots yarn through a primary backing fabric. This technique allows for dense pile construction and precise execution of visual details.
Creating a hand-tufted rug of this size requires steady precision and multiple days of dedicated handwork. Artisans carefully secure the fibers before finishing the surface to ensure a consistent pile height and long-lasting structure.
The finishing process involves painstaking trimming and binding of the edges, ensuring the rug holds its form gracefully over time while providing daily comfort in the home.

60% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Viscose

Viscose is a man-made fibre made from natural cellulose found in plants. The material is often used to give a shine to rugs and to highlight details in a way that is found in silk rugs. Viscose rugs have a soft and beautiful shine that gives a luxurious feeling.

The material is sensitive to liquids, which means that moisture can cause stains, shrink or make the fibers yellow. Therefore it is best if you avoid placing place your viscose rug in areas prone to humidity or risk of spills.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Care & Fair

Maintenance

 • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
 • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
 • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
 • Rug suitable for use with underfloor heating (max. 27°C).
 • Shedding is a natural characteristic of wool and with this rug you can expect some loose fibres throughout its lifetime. It doesn't affect the rug's quality, durability or look. Hoover regularly with gentle suction and without a rotating brush, and brush the surface lightly now and then to lift loose fibres.

Installation

 • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
 • For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
 • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
 • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
 • The rug is sensitive to moisture, which can cause the fibers to shrink or discolor (e.g., turn yellow). To prevent this, avoid placing the rug in areas prone to humidity or spills.
 • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this
 • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover only on the wool parts of the rug, not on the viscose parts.
 • Spot clean only.
 • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a dry, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers.
 • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
 • Do not wash
 • Do not bleach.
 • Do not tumble dry.
 • Do not iron.
 • Do not dry clean.
