Experience the inviting comfort of this authentic Loribaft rug, a piece that brings warmth and a sense of calm to your home. The wool pile offers a thick, tactile surface that feels wonderful underfoot, providing both softness and natural sound absorption that enhances the atmosphere of any room.

This rug is a true one-of-a-kind creation, meaning it is the only one of its kind in the world. When you place it in your home, you are choosing a unique work of art that will never be replicated, making your space feel personal and thoughtfully curated.

The vibrant, warm tones and subtle, artistic motifs create a grounding visual anchor for your interior. Its generous pile thickness of 15 mm provides a substantial, plush quality that invites you to slow down and enjoy the quiet moments of daily life.

With its origins rooted in the rich textile traditions of the Middle East, this rug carries a story of regional craftsmanship. It is designed to be a lasting addition to your home, offering a blend of beauty and durability that remains relevant as your style evolves over the years.

Loribaft rugs are celebrated for their deep connection to the nomadic traditions of the Middle East. They are a specialised, more refined evolution of the traditional Gabbeh, often woven by tribal groups who prioritise artistic expression and the use of high-quality, hand-spun wool.

The name itself hints at the marriage of styles, blending the raw, soulful nature of tribal weaving with a more sophisticated approach to knotting and design. This creates a surface that is both rustic in appearance and remarkably soft, making it a favourite for those who appreciate authentic craft that feels approachable and modern.

Signature elements of these rugs often include a focus on simplicity, where the beauty of the natural wool and organic dyes takes centre stage. While they may feature minimalist borders or sparse, stylised motifs, the true hallmark is the depth of colour achieved through traditional dyeing techniques that create a lively, non-uniform surface.

Owning a piece from this tradition is an investment in cultural heritage. Because they are rooted in a culture that values storytelling through textiles, each rug serves as a tangible link to the past, preserving techniques and aesthetic sensibilities that have been passed down through generations.

This rug is created through a dedicated hand-knotted process, where every individual knot is placed by hand by skilled artisans. This labour-intensive method ensures that the construction is exceptionally strong and that the wool pile remains secure and dense for years of use.

The craftsmanship is evidenced by the substantial weight of 2.4 kg packed into its compact 94 x 63 cm size. This high ratio of material ensures a dense, heavy foundation that speaks to the time and effort invested in its creation, resulting in a rug that holds its shape and quality far better than mass-produced alternatives.

Villa
