Bring a genuine sense of warmth and character into your home with this unique Afghan rug. Every step reveals a soft, dense wool pile that naturally cushions your steps while providing comforting insulation against cold floors.

Crafted entirely from 100% natural wool, this piece offers a tactile surface that feels wonderfully grounded underfoot. The natural fibers also provide subtle sound-absorbing qualities, helping to create a quieter and more peaceful living environment.

With a knot density of 90,000 knots per m2, this rug delivers exceptional structural integrity alongside a remarkably detailed visual depth. This high concentration of knots means the pile remains upright and resilient, ensuring the surface maintains its plush feel and vibrant definition over years of daily use.

As a truly one-of-a-kind piece originating from Afghanistan, this rug carries a distinct personality that cannot be replicated. No other home will have this exact combination of colors and motifs, making it a genuinely personal addition to your living space.

The rug-making traditions of Afghanistan represent a rich heritage deeply rooted in the daily lives and cultural identity of the region. Artisans draw upon centuries-old design vocabularies, passing down specialized weaving techniques from one generation to the next in homes and community workshops.

Hand-knotted construction remains the gold standard of rug making, relying on individual woolen strands tied securely to a sturdy foundation. This meticulous method yields a robust and tactile pile that stands up to daily wear while retaining its natural lustre and soft feel.

Traditional Afghan patterns often incorporate bold geometric medallions, repeating tribal motifs, and symbolic border details that reflect the surroundings and history of the weavers. The teal background featured here offers a refreshing twist on classic palettes, adding a vibrant yet grounded touch to the established visual language.

Owning a hand-knotted piece from this heritage means welcoming a tangible piece of cultural artistry into your living space. It celebrates the dedication of the maker and provides a lasting connection to time-honored craft traditions that mass-produced alternatives simply cannot match.

Skilled artisans spent months meticulously tying 90,000 knots per m2 by hand to bring this intricate design to life. This intensive handmade process requires immense patience, steady hands, and deep generational knowledge passed down through families.

Weighing 13.6 kg across a 238 x 178 cm frame, the substantial weight reflects the heavy-duty density and generous amount of natural wool packed into the foundation. Every single knot is secured individually by hand to ensure long-lasting durability and structural strength.

This level of human craftsmanship simply cannot be rushed or replaced by machines. The time and dedication invested in every square centimetre guarantee a resilient, premium-quality floor covering built to accompany your household for generations.
