Solveig - A Warm Foundation for Daily Living

Bring a cosy and tactile feel to your floors with Solveig, a hand-woven flatweave rug crafted from 100 percent cotton in a warm coral red hue.

Introduce a welcoming layer of warmth and comfort to your home with the Solveig rug.

Designed to feel pleasant and tactile beneath your feet, this piece brings a grounded, cosy atmosphere to living rooms and bedrooms alike.

Crafted from 100 percent cotton, the rug offers a soft and natural surface that feels comfortable underfoot every day.

The flatweave construction provides a neat, low profile that works well in high-traffic areas.

Practical for modern living, this rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing warmth to pass through easily.

It is also reversible, meaning you can turn it over to help extend its lifespan and keep the surface looking fresh.

Produced in India with traditional hand-woven techniques, this rug reflects skilled craftsmanship.

It carries the Care and Fair label, supporting better working and living conditions for weavers and their families.

Design

The surface features a continuous geometric diamond pattern arranged in neat rows across the field.

The repeating motifs create a balanced visual rhythm that adds structure to a room without feeling overwhelming.

Presented in a warm coral red and white colour palette, the design brings a cheerful and grounded mood to the space.

It suits modern and Scandinavian interiors well, fitting naturally into rooms that lean towards natural textures and simple forms.

The Solveig rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans in India, using traditional flatweave techniques passed down through generations.

Each piece requires a high level of manual precision, with artisans carefully working the cotton yarns on traditional looms to create the distinct pattern.

Creating a rug of this size and detail is a time-intensive process that takes several days of focused human effort.

This dedication to craft results in a durable, considered home textile that brings authentic character to your interior.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
